Item#: SCP-173
Special Containment Procedures: Item SPC-173 is to be kept in a locked container at all times. When personnel must enter SCP-173's container, no fewer than 3 may enter at any time and the door is to be relocked behind them. At all times, two persons must be looking at SCP-173 until all personnel have vacated and relocked the container.
Description: Moved to Site19 1993, little is known about item number SCP-173's origins. It is constructed from concrete and rebar and was once painted with Crylon brand spraypaint.
SCP-173 is animate and malevolent, if given the chance it will kill anyone within its line of sight. Its weakness however is that it does not move while being watched. Despite this paralysis it is still highly dangerous, able to cover at least 2 meters in the literal blink of an eye. It typically kills by either snapping the victim's neck from behind, or grabbing the victim's throat and strangling them. Whatever animates SCP-173 does not give it much force with which to break things; as seen above, a large room with unbarred windows is fully capable of containing it. Its grip however is unbreakable, as when it is not moving the statue is as hard and strong as concrete.
While left alone in its room, one can hear a stone-on-stone scraping from within that is believed to be the sound of the SCP-173 moving about.
The reddish brown substance on the floor is a combination of feces and blood. We don't know (nor wish to find out) where it comes from or how it arrives but SCP-173's container will slowly fill with these substances. In order to ensure that bacterial growth within does not begin to damage the building it is contained in, and to maintain some level of sanitation, the enclosure must be cleaned on a bi-weekly basis.

Item # SCP-579

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-579 is currently held in site 62-C, a compound located approximately 80 km from the main site. Site consists of building housing SCP-579 and living quarters for containment staff. SCP-579 is encased in a 60 m x 60 m x 60 m block of [DATA EXPUNGED] which is suspended in vacuum through use of electromagnets. Site 62-C is equipped with hardline to High Command through which all reports and notifications are to be made. Staff consists of two teams (each comprised of 17 Level 1 Personnel, three level 2 Personnel and one Level 4 Personnel) which are rotated bi-weekly.

All instruments and their backups are to be checked each half-hour to ensure their continued function. Changes in any measured attribute are to be immediately reported to High Command. Any deviation in any measured attribute greater than 0.02% of the accepted norm value will result in automatic execution of Action 326. Routine reports to High Command are to be made hourly. If a report is not received within 6 minutes of its scheduled time, Action 326 is to be executed.

**Absolutely no action regarding SCP-579 other than those strictly outlined above is to be taken**

Description: [DATA EXPUNGED]

Action 326: High-level operatives within the main site 62 are to be immediately evacuated. Containment of other SCPs housed within the site is to be continued, with corresponding necessary staff remaining at their posts. Teams and resources required for Action 326-B are to be readied and moved into position.

If delayed reports are received by High Command or if measured attributes return to their accepted norm value, High Command will issue an “All-Clear” statement. If such a statement is not received within five minutes of the commencement of Action 326, execute Action 326-B. If at any time any measured attribute of SCP-579 deviates more than 0.09%, execute Action 326-B.

If an “All-Clear” statement is issued, at least 72 hours without further anomalies must pass before evacuated personnel may return to their stations and Action 326-B teams may stand down.

Action 326-B: Gateway of site 62 (SCP-004) is to be destroyed. This must be done regardless of personnel or facilities remaining within the site. Remnants of the Gateway — or the gateway itself if destruction proves impossible — are to be contained in the same manner as SCP-579. High Command will then issue further instruction.

Addendum [579-002]:

In the event of an unsuccessful Action 326-B, no further action will be necessary. [SUBSEQUENT DATA EXPUNGED]

In the event of a successful Action 326-B, sealed document 891 — which contains all data regarding SCP-579, as well as all hypothetical contingency plans — is to be opened. Procedures as outlined within the document are to be followed. Be aware that even with the successful execution of Action 326-B, estimates place the occurrence of [DATA EXPUNGED] at 1 year or less.

If SCP-579 is mentioned, in any capacity, within data or observation gathered from SCP-432, SCP-640 or SCP-121 it is required that sealed document 891 be opened. In such an event it is strongly recommended that Action 326 be executed, with Action 326-B withheld.

Item # SCP-277

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-277 should be contained within a room with dimensions of at least 10 meters in height, length, and width. A minimum of five personnel should be placed outside the room, within a range of 14 to 15 meters of the object itself. The personnel guarding the object is to be replaced at least every 12 hours.

Item number 277 has left its room when fewer than five personnel are present, and can pass through standard concrete walls; provided at least five people enter the 14 - 15 m range, it tends to remain stationary. People who come within a 14 m radius of the object have experienced adverse psychological effects of varying intensity relative to the distance from the object. (see Document #277-a, Level 2 or higher only)

Description: SCP-277 appeared on ??????? ??, 2004 in ?????????, ??. The object moved across the city rapidly, eventually stopping at a playground at ????????? Elementary School. Video surveillance shows children and faculty within a 15 m radius stopping all activity and focusing intently on the object; law enforcement officers behaved the same upon arriving at the scene. Initial attempts to contain the object by Level 2 personnel failed, as people entering a radius of 14 m or less seem to experience a suspension of higher reasoning faculties; eventually personnel fitted with electrodes were dispatched in order to move civilians to safety, with electric shocks serving to motivate personnel in the proper direction. After civilians were removed, the object began to follow personnel remaining within 15 m; electric shocks were further used to guide personnel into a container. #277 followed the personnel, and was transported to Site 14, where it is currently contained.
>> Anonymous
>>70063548
Object's appearance shifts rapidly, but its volume seems consistent, although estimates are difficult. It is apparently intangible while displacing air. Simultaneous observations with different visual apparatus (infrared, ultraviolet, X-rays, radio waves, ultrasonograms, electroscopy, etc.) yield no discernible images and do not overlap. Attempts were made to film SCP-277 with high-speed cameras in order to identify any accelerated patterns of movement or a coherent message or form; attempts failed.

Document #277-a: Further notes

Debriefing of personnel present during the incident at ????????? Elementary School, combined with analysis of surveillance footage, yielded the following conclusions:

People involved in the ????????? Elementary School incident experienced pronounced psychological effects which seem directly proportional to one's proximity to #277.

Children at the site were highest in number among those coming within the 10 m radius, yet did not experience the same long-lasting effects that adults did after leaving the proximity of the object. Children were referred to psychiatric counseling, but within thirty days, were able to resume their normal functions.

Personnel remaining outside a 15 m distance from the object reported feeling no significant effects.

Personnel remaining at least 14 m from the object reported feelings of euphoria and a lack of motivation while in proximity of the object; upon leaving the object's proximity, they reported feelings of malaise or depression for periods ranging from two to twenty-four hours. These personnel resumed their normal duties one day after the incident.
>> Anonymous
>>70063594
Personnel entering a radius of 10 - 13 m from the item reported similar effects at higher intensity, with depression lasting longer than that experienced by personnel remaining outside the 14 - 15 m radius; these personnel were referred to psychiatric counseling. All of these personnel were diagnosed with clinical depression and were prescribed medication to alleviate their symptoms. All were able to resume their normal duties within 45 days of the incident.

Personnel entering a radius of less than 10 feet from the object were unresponsive to attempts to debrief them, and were referred to psychiatric counseling; these personnel exhibited extreme lethargy, sleep disturbances, and refusal to eat. Full body workups were conducted; blood tests, organ function panels, and brain scans were normal. Personnel were remanded to separate psychiatric care facilities, and remain under supervision.

??????? ??, 2005: Compromise within Site 14 necessitated movement of all non-critical personnel to contain an emergency involving SCP-???; SCP-277 left its room, requiring re-containment procedures similar to those used at ????????? Elementary School. Several personnel came within 15 m of #277, including some who entered the 10 m range; all of these personnel experienced similar effects as those in the 2004 incident.

?????? ??, 2005: Gen. ???????? requested further testing on #277; expressed interest in weaponizing the object:

Item #: SCP-016

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-016 is to be kept at all times in 8x8 feet cubicle. No direct contact is to be made with SCP-016. SPC-016 may have the following objects inside its cubicle, 1 box of Kleenex brand tissue, 1 wide screen monitor, 1 HP computer model number b1730r, 1 gallon of Absolut. The box of Kleenex and the bottle of Absolut are to be replenished daily. No personnel may access the computer or look directly at the monitor.

Failure to comply with these measures may cause a violent reaction in SCP-016. Personnel who have failed to provide SCP-016 with the above mentioned items or personnel who have accessed the computer or looked directly at the monitor have experienced long bouts of depression, anxiety, paranoia, excessive masturbation, have taken to calling staff members of African decent "niggers", and in severe cases have been known to rape female personnel.

Description: SCP-016 appears to be many things to many different staff members often resembling a slightly overweight white male but may also appear to be female, of African decent, Hispanic, Asian, or European.

Item #: SCP-238

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-238 is currently contained by the original means. Current SCP protocols have proven unable to contain it. All exploration of SCP-238 is suspended until proper containment has been achieved. Any and all personnel attempting to enter #238 are to be physically restrained and moved to a outside containment area. Upkeep of the current barrier is first priority, and two members of personnel will be present at all times.

No testing, samples, exploration, or documentation until full containment of SCP-238 has been achieved. Any and all persons entering are to be deemed missing, presumed dead.

Description: SCP-238 is a enormous underground facility on the island ostrov Shmidta to the extreme north of Russia. When originally found, the entrance was sealed behind a massive wall of bricks, covered in carvings. This wall was removed, and exploration began. Initial tests showed that the walls, though appearing to be stone, were fossilized tissue of unknown origin. Several structures within the facility led initial exploration teams to conclude that #238 is or was at least half biological.

Shortly after discovery of a central chamber consisting of partially rotted flesh and badly decayed metal structures, personnel began to disappear, and numerous accidents claimed eight lives. Odd noises and other hallucinations were reported, and containment was established.

Eight containment walls were destroyed by unknown means, in addition to rapidly escalating aggressive phenomenon by SCP-238. Replacement of the original wall has contained the item effectively, but new SCP containment strategies are requested.

tem# SCP-014

Object Class: Safe

SCP-014

Special Containment Procedures: 014’s holding cell is to remain locked at all times. Personnel of sufficient clearance (as determined by facility administrator) may be admitted to view 014 after submitting a formal request in advance. Anyone handling SCP-014 needn’t take any special precautions, though common sense dictates that one should wash their hands afterwards.

Appearance: SCP-014 takes the form of an antique dinner fork, well worn, and as near as can be estimated, not cleaned since the 1890’s. The object is fashioned from the electroplated nickel-silver typical of the suspected period of its manufacture and the rightmost tine is bent slightly outward. Brown stains and mold adorn the prongs and the pits of the decorative parts of the handle. Analysis of this material seems to indicate that SCP-014 was last used on some form of beef.

SCP-014 was moved to this facility in the early Seventies and seems, for all intents and purposes, to be an entirely mundane dinner fork. If it is possessed of any extra-ordinary qualities, these are known only to those in the very highest echelon of this project’s coordinators, whose representatives assure us that 014 is, quote “Very Important”. Officers who have spent time alone with SCP-014 are unanimous in their appreciation that the object is of great significance (hence its continued presence at this site), though none can quite say why [see >>Testimony of Major ?????? ??????????, February, 1972]. No tests on SCP-014 are authorized. Any personnel observed attempting to compromise 014 in any way are to be terminated on sight.

Item#: SCP-847
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-847 is kept inside a locked room reinforced with vanadium steel and concrete. In addition, SCP-847 must be kept chained up to at least four of the twelve electrically live hardpoints in the room at all times. These hardpoints are connected to relay of backup generators that will activate in case of a power failure. Should these generators fail or the chains become disconnected from the live hardpoints, Protocol SCP-847/E2 is to be enacted immediately and to remain active until SCP-847 can be properly resecured. This is to be escalated to Level E6 if the containment room is breached.

All personnel posted to SCP-847 must be armed with Containment Device 2-9, a shock baton with internal charge of 30,000 volts. No female personnel are permitted within a one hundred meter radius of SCP-847. Any female personnel found within this radius are to be incapacitated and removed from the area immediately.

Description: SCP-847 resembles a human female mannequin; researchers have been unable to determine if the missing pieces are due to injury, degradation or attack. SCP-847 is normally passive and docile unless it is in close proximity to a human female; experimentation has determined the radius of this effect to operate at around 50 to 100 meters. SCP-847 will animate under these circumstances and will make every attempt to reach the human female, exhibiting unnatural strength, immense destructive activity and total single-mindedness (see Archive file SCP-847/32198 for previously documented escape attempt). SCP-847's only known vulnerability is high-capacity electricity; judicious application of electricity will render SCP-847 temporarily docile.

Item # SCP-871

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-871 is to be housed in a sealed plexiglass box. 4 armed guards are to be on staff at all times to terminate anyone attempting to gain unauthorized access to SCP-871. If SCP-871 is removed without disabling the alarm the room is sealed off and cyanide gas is pumped into the room terminating the threat.

Description: SCP-871 was originally found in ??????,??????????. It appears to be an ordinary pencil eraser, composed of an unknown rubber like substance. All attempts to break it by bending have failed and all attempts to cut it using any means has also failed. SCP-871 will immediately go back to its original state when the stress is removed. It is also to be noted that the eraser leaves no shavings behind even on the atomic level so it is believed that the eraser can be used an infinite number of times and has no risk of any part of it being smuggled out.

Any written phrase of factual events that have passed in the life of the test subject using SCP-871 that is erased becomes false, as if the event never occurred. The test subject retains no memory of the event which was erased nor the act of erasing the statement.

Further tests were made on SCP-871 to test the breadth of its effect. A test of a statement written involving active participants other than the test subject resulted in no effect. Another test of a statement written involving the test subject as a witness to an act resulted in the test subject forgetting the act but did not change the act that was witnessed. Test results so far indicate that SCP-871 only erases events in which the user was the sole active participant in.

A test on the date [DATA EXPUNGED] using a voluntary death row inmate in exchange for a life sentence showed a possible hazard when using SCP-871. The subject was to erase the phrase "I murdered [NAME REMOVED]." The subject appeared to immediately implode, leaving no visible sign that he/she was even there at all. In his/her place stood the victim, completely naked. The victim appeared the same age as when he/she was murdered, but any attempt at communication resulted in failure as the newly revived victim showed signs of dementia and great confusion. It is hypothesized that the victim had no memory of who he/she is, nor any language or basic motor skills. The victim passed out and was promptly tested. Brain scans of the victim showed erratic signals as well as nearly every part of the brain being active at the same time. Upon waking, the victim began to thrash about and became very distraught. Heart monitors recorded the heart beat at 180 beats per minute and a blood pressure of 400/212. Before a tranquilizer could be administered, the victim experienced a massive heart attack and died. Victim could not be revived.

Autopsy revealed that the majority of the victim's brain was completely smooth and about the size of that of an average newborn. The rest of the body was that of a typical adult. The reason is currently unknown.

Until an accurate effect range and safety level of the item's usage is established, SCP-871 is to be locked away until further experiments are authorized by a unanimous vote of a 10 member panel of O5-7 personnel.

John Stalvern waited. The lights above him blinked and sparked out of the air. There were demons in the base. He didn't see them, but had expected them now for years. His warnings to Cernel Joson were not listenend to and now it was too late. Far too late for now, anyway.
John was a space marine for fourteen years. When he was young he watched the spaceships and he said to dad "I want to be on the ships daddy."
Dad said "No! You will BE KILL BY DEMONS"
There was a time when he believed him. Then as he got oldered he stopped. But now in the space station base of the UAC he knew there were demons.
"This is Joson" the radio crackered. "You must fight the demons!"
So John gotted his palsma rifle and blew up the wall.
"HE GOING TO KILL US" said the demons
"I will shoot at him" said the cyberdemon and he fired the rocket missiles. John plasmaed at him and tried to blew him up. But then the ceiling fell and they were trapped and not able to kill.
"No! I must kill the demons" he shouted
The radio said "No, John. You are the demons"

> Access 256c Override SysAdmin 76-4498

From: HR_76-5974
To: BaseCommand 76-1389

Let me officially give you congratulations on your promotion, General Trent. It's a sad
sad thing that happened to your predecessor, but such is the way of things when working
for SCP. Regardless, I looked into the various classified files that General Gerhart had
under lock and key with your access codes, and found out some really surprising things
about Item# SCP-256.

First off, the list of authorized personnel are not surgically adapted in any way. In
fact, many of them have never undergone anything more serious than the mandated physical.
And civilians, tsk tsk. I can't even begin to understand why General Gerhart let them
even know of the base. Containment agents have been dispatched to see how far their
psychosis has progressed and how much they know, but from what I've found in the late
General's personal files, he had them convinced this was some kind of hospital.

Second, as you may have guessed from the notes on the civilians and the highly
classified paper manuscripts, the "authorized personnel" seemed to believe quite
vehemently that SCP-256 was once a young adult human named Elizabeth Waters, and has
been somehow trapped in the artifact. Even the General was convinced, and the very fact
that the BaseCommand was compromised by the item's delusions makes me worry about the
entire facility. All personnel on the "authorized" list have been placed under covert
surveillance. It is unknown how far the item's control over them goes.
>> Anonymous
>>70068784
Third, there is information on the artifact that has not been made available in the
report. Firstly, the variance on the EMR is remarkably similar to an oscilliscope's
pickup of human voice. Apparently when SCP-256 starts its variance, it somehow starts
producing audio with it. Second, the compromised personnel write down in the manuscripts
that the delusions claim to be in pain when metal is brought near it. After an audio
recorder was brought into the room, the afflicted agents noted that the delusions ceased
for several days, and when they resumed, they indicated that it nearly "killed" the
artifact.

Needless to say, I cannot confirm or deny these rumors due to the security restraints on
SCP-256, but I do not place credibility in them. Simply put, General, this was a coverup.
Recommend immediate disciplinary procedures for all personnel involved. In regards to
SCP-256, I recommend research into power production. As long as the research personnel
observe the listed sound-blanking procedures, any possible audiotory contamination can be
contained. There was no listed drop in power when the "little girl" "almost died", and
more conductive material may serve to permanently suppress the risk of the artifact.
However, as per your new policy with advanced timetable on the destruction of destroyable
SCP items, I have scheduled the item for a tentative destruction on 1-15-08.

Your viligant officer;
Edward Berstrom.

tem #: SCP-147

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-147 is to be kept in a simulacrum of a 1950's-era living room. Its current container contains a throw rug, two armchairs, a phonograph, a rotary telephone, and other suitable decorations. SCP-147 will reject any items dating from later than late March, 1965 (See Addendum 0-40). It requires no external power source or connection.

Description: Discovered 1983 in a civilian home in Detroit, Michigan. SCP-147 appears to be a 1957 General Electric brand black-and-white television, model 17TO26. SCP-147 has been observed to exhibit two different behaviors:

Optimal: When SCP-147 is in an acceptable room, it will display broadcasts of 1950's-era comedies. Shows such as The Burns and Allen Show, Laugh-In, Father Knows Best, and I Love Lucy have been observed; in every case each broadcast has been completely unique: archives of the programs, none of which are still being produced, have failed to find any record of the episodes that SCP-147 plays. No commercials are shown, and there is no indication as to which station would be broadcasting these shows. All broadcasts are in black and white. Subjects exposed to SCP-147 in its optimal state reported a pleasant feeling of relaxation. In this state the item's volume and channels can be adjusted, though the off switch appears to have no effect.
>> Anonymous
Hostile: When modern-day items are present in SCP-147's environment, the item will only display extremely violent and gruesome color footage; beheadings, rapes, executions and torture have all been observed, but as of yet no footage has been broadcast that indicates when or where the scenes depicted took place. The footage is invariably of high visual and audio quality. Subjects exposed to SCP-147 in its hostile state almost invariably vomit due to the graphic nature of the broadcasts after ten to fifteen seconds; one subject suffered a nervous breakdown after two minutes. Every subject has displayed an extreme reluctance to recall the contents of the broadcasts, and two out of the fifteen subjects tasked with viewing SCP-147's hostile broadcasts have since committed suicide. None of the item's controls respond during hostile broadcasts.

Attempts to examine the internals of SCP-147 have been unsuccessful; the item's shell resists any and all attempts to crack it open. Placing the item in a Faraday cage in order to negate any possible transmissions it could be receiving had no effect. The effects of long-term exposure to SCP-147 have not been documented.

Addendum: Any and all recreational activities involving SCP-147 are to be scheduled at least one week beforehand to a Level 4 personnel.

Addendum [0-40]: See File TC-147-B for further details. After [DATA EXPUNGED] suggestion, several objects manufactured throughout the 1960s era were brought in. Objects made past March of the year 1965 have resulted in a hostile behavior. Exact dating is difficult due to troubles of obtaining materials precisely made on testable dates and times. Reasons as to why it acts in such a way depending on a specific object's date are unknown, and being tested by [DATA EXPUNGED].

Item#: SCP-015
Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-015 is impossible to move, and is contained on-site. A gap of at least six feet needs to be maintained around the entire structure containing SCP-015 at all times, and no structures of any kind are to make contact with SCP-015's current containment structure. Exploration is permisable, but only in teams of three with full safety lines and GPS tracking. Any protrusions from SCP-015 must be capped and sealed immediatly, with the new site recorded and logged.

No aggressive action is to be made within SCP-015. No hand or power tools are allowed anywhere inside #015. No repairs or maintenance are to be made anywhere on #015.

Description: SCP-015 is a mass of pipes, vents, boilers and other various plumbing apparatus completely filling a warehouse in ???????. The pipes appear to grow when not under observation, attempting to connect to nearby structures via sewer systems and underground plumbing. SCP-015 contains, at current estimate, over one hundred and twenty miles of pipes, ranging in size from 1" diameter to several feet. Some pipes appear new, while others are rusted and leaking. Pipes have been reported as being made of bone, wood, steel, pressed ash, human flesh, glass and granite.

SCP-015 reacts to tools and aggression. Any personnel acting violent or carrying tools, or attempting to damage or repair SCP-015 in any way, will trigger a reaction. Any pipes near the subject will burst, spraying on the subject for several seconds before the flow suddenly stops. Pipes have been reported containing oil, mercury, rats, a species of insect not yet identified, ground glass, sea water, entrails, and molten iron. Pipes will continue to burst around subject until death or retreat.
